About

Located within Bankstown Airport’s South-West Retail Precinct and strategically positioned near the intersection of Henry Lawson Drive and Milperra Road, Plan Project Management oversaw the planning, design management and construction delivery of a purpose built 7-Eleven Service Station.

The development comprises a 200 sqm warm-shell building designed to integrate with 7-Eleven’s fuel systems, equipment and shopfitting requirements. The facility features 140,000 litres of in-ground fuel storage, water and oil wastewater treatment equipment, a forecourt configuration enabling up to 10 vehicles to refuel concurrently, and a fuel canopy with 5.7m underside clearance.

Development on federally leased airport land is subject to a unique planning and building approval framework. Plan Project Management managed the approvals process, including obtaining the required Airport Building Controller (ABC) and Airport Lessee Company (ALC) consents.

The project was also required to address aviation-specific regulatory requirements associated with development within developing adjacent to an operational airport environment, including design compliance with applicable Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requirements.
